About Us

CareOgeechee Area Hospice provides a very special kind of care.  This care is needed at a time when a patient’s illness or disease has progressed to a point that aggressive treatments are no longer the focus of his or her medical care.  Instead, the focus of care has shifted to controlling the symptoms and making the patient comfortable rather than trying to cure the disease.  Hospice care may take place where the patient lives, whether that is in the home, nursing home or assisted living facility.  For those times that symptoms become hard to manage or caregivers are exhausted, care may also take place for a short period of time in our state-of-the-art inpatient facility with its beautiful, home-like setting.

Ogeechee Area Hospice has a long-standing reputation for skilled and compassionate care of those facing a terminal illness, as well as offering comfort to their families and for offering emotional support to anyone who has lost a loved one.

Who We Are
